Rev. Catherine Norma P. Morgan
Catherine (Cathie) was born and raised in St. Kitts British West Indies and traveled to the US in the early eighties. At a very early age, she felt the call into full-time ministry but was unable to pursue her calling earlier due to health issues. However, Cathie has always worked in the church across different denominations as Children and Youth Ministry Director/Pastor in New York and Pennsylvania.
Catherine is married to Wayne C. Morgan, and they both served at their home church, Mt. Pocono UMC. Wayne sang on the worship team and served on the Board of Trustees. Catherine (Cathie) served as Lay Leader, taught Adult Sunday School, coordinate and taught Bible Study, Book Studies, and occasionally offers academic classes in philosophy. She is also presently teaching at Scranton University as a professor of Christian Theology and Introduction to the Bible; and at Northampton Community College as a professor of Philosophy.
Catherine earned her Master of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary; a Master of Theological Studies from Palmer Theological Seminary; a Bachelor of Social Sciences from Ramapo College, an Associate of Liberal Arts from Sunny Orange, New York.
Catherine’s passion is preaching and teaching both the Gospel message of Christ and the academics of philosophy and theology. She is passionate about helping people come into a relationship with God our Father, to know Him, love Him, serve Him, and love all people wholeheartedly. She desires to keep preaching the message of salvation to all people, wherever God plants her; to grow, blossom, and bear many fruits with all His children. Catherine (Cathie) is excited to serve the Paradise Valley: Keokee Chapel UMC as of July 1st 2022, and to meet all of the members and their inspirations for the ministry of Christ Jesus.
